Description
As part of the Claims handler - Financial lines team, your responsibilities will include :- Analyze claims submissions to assess their legitimacy and scope.
- Managing claims files throughout the process by opening, tracking and updating them.
- Communicate with stakeholders such as policyholders, brokers and lawyers to obtain additional information.
- Collect relevant evidence and documents to conduct required investigations, such as insurance contracts and expert reports.
- Examine the terms of insurance policies to determine appropriate coverage.
- Estimate financial losses in collaboration with experts if necessary.
- Negotiate fair settlements with the parties involved.
- Prepare detailed reports on claims, decisions taken and payments made.
Your profile
- You have a bachelor's or master's degree in finance, law, insurance or a similar field.
- You have between one and five years' experience in claims management, preferably in the financial lines sector.
- You have a sound knowledge of insurance contracts and the laws governing financial lines activities.
- You are able to critically analyze claims and produce detailed assessments.
- Your communication skills, both written and oral, are excellent.
- Negotiation is one of your natural skills.
- You are fluent in French and Dutch.
