European affairs advisor
We are looking for a European Affairs Advisor with a passion for European issues to join our client. Your role will be to analyze European regulations, represent our client before European bodies and develop a network of strategic contacts. You have a Master's degree in law, European studies or political science, with a good knowledge of European institutions. Excellent communication skills in NL/FR/EN are required. Description
- You identify trends and themes at European level that are relevant to our customer's sector;
- You analyze European regulatory proposals and their potential impact on our customer;
- You closely follow developments in relevant projects and draw up opinions for the sector;
- You develop sectoral positions in consultation with various divisions and departments;
- You represent the customer at external forums (European bodies, etc.) and are able to convince external partners;
- You develop a network of contacts at both national and European level;
- You are a point of contact for our customer regarding European affairs;
- You are willing to collaborate on projects of importance to the trade association;
- You collaborate on our client's publications.
Your profile
- Master's degree in law, European studies, international political science, ....;
- Familiar with the workings and decision-making structures of European bodies;
- Strong interest in European issues;
- Operational level (NL/FR) with very good communication skills in English;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Good interpersonal skills and diplomacy;
- Proactive and result-oriented;
- Analytical skills and ability to synthesize;
- Teamplayer.
