Description
As Manager of the Pension Funds Team, you will be responsible for overseeing the pension funds that provide retirement, death and disability benefits to our client's staff. Reporting directly to the Head of HR, you will lead a team of approximately 5 people, promoting their growth and development.Your daily tasks include:
- Oversee the day-to-day management of both of our client's pension funds.
- This includes supervising daily pension management and accurately and timely administration of both OFPs (data management, calculations, payments, accounting, etc.).
- Monitor the management of investments and evaluate the performance and value of the portfolios.
- Verify pension plan liabilities and manage funding level of technical provisions, and prepare appropriate internal and official reports.
- Ensure that the supplementary pension plans are effective and comply with relevant regulations of Belgian (FSMA) and European (EIOPA) regulators.
- Maintain and update official pension documents and policies.
- Prepare and lead the management bodies of both funds (Board of Directors, General Assembly, operational committees). Review reporting, annual reports and financial reports.
- Coordinate and foster communication between key control functions (internal auditor, risk manager, compliance officer, actuary, FG). First point of contact for audit authority.
- Maintain relationships and contracts with external service providers.
- Ensure clear communication with employers, affiliates and other stakeholders (unions, FSMA, etc.).
- Manage projects such as ALM studies, legal changes, surveys, IT system updates....
- Innovation by developing optimized or new tools, processes and procedures.
- Lead and develop the skills of the pension team.
Your profile
- As a Manager with our client, you will ensure that you are always one step ahead and full of fresh ideas in a rapidly changing and complex environment.
- You are naturally a collaborative person who listens and invests in others to achieve common goals.
- You enjoy challenging the status quo and are eager to propose creative solutions to problems.
- You preferably have a master's degree in Law, Economics or Actuarial Science.
- Demonstrated experience in pension funds & management is required.
- You have proven stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in Dutch or French & English are essential.
- Skills in project and change management are essential to transform a strategy into a tangible delivery plan that leads to impactful results.
- You are open to new technologies and digital tools and can implement them effectively.
- You are able to function in an international context.
- You have an affinity for numbers and data, and understand how data analytics and reporting contribute to developing better solutions for employees.
- You can build a broad network of productive and strong working relationships and constructively influence all levels of the organization.
